Bio
Organizations call me when they need someone to tell them the truth about what they're putting out. Collectors call me when they want to know what will last. Artists call me for the first look, before the work is seen out there.
I grew up between cultures and have spent over twenty years working in the space between them; advising organizations, guiding institutions, and identifying artists who often go on to significant recognition.
I've led the Texas Biennial, presented at ZONA MACO, directed programming for Soho House Austin, Untitled Art Fair, and Ballroom Marfa, and served as a juror for institutions ranging from ArtPrize in Grand Rapids to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Public Art Program and the Henki Art Prize. I've spoken at Google and the Praxis Center for Aesthetic Studies, and advised the City of Austin on multiple public art initiatives. My work spans cultural institutions, hospitality groups, and consumer brands from Hermès and the LINE Hotel to Tito's Handmade Vodka, bringing the same rigor to each.
I evaluate talent not just for the quality of their work but for trajectory, ethics, and cultural significance.
My clients collect with confidence; they know what moves them, and I know what lasts.
Rooted in Texas and Latin America, I bring a cross-cultural, bilingual perspective to every engagement.
She helped us frame our creative statement in a way that brought clarity and depth to the ideas behind the work while staying true to our vision. Her thoughtful questions, perceptive feedback, and genuine enthusiasm opened our minds to new ways of thinking about the project and where it could go. We came away feeling inspired and excited about what was possible. She is insightful, intuitive, generous with her expertise, and wonderful to work with.”

Inclusive Practice ConsultingFor organizations that want to build more inclusive practices in how they collect, commission, hire, or communicate. This isn't a checkbox DEI. Testimonials
What people say
"I always had a lack of self-confidence, like so many of us artists. I went to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for my master’s, taught art and art history, and have a wealth of knowledge and experience, but I have always felt outside the artist community. My conversations with Georgina and her advice supported me in taking the next steps in my career. Since our consultations, I started a design club with SoHo House, began applying to grants seriously, and started winning them. I'm on a residency in Provincetown, Massachusetts, with a gallery from Manhattan as I write this. The opportunities started to pour in. She was one of the people who gave me what I needed to keep going: confidence."
"I highly recommend Georgina Treviño. She was a foundational piece of my professional journey. For over twenty years, she has genuinely connected emerging talent with established galleries and cross-border communities. Her impact on the cultural landscape is immense. From collaborating on vital community initiatives to her dedication to education, Georgina is always building bridges. Even during the pandemic, she co-hosted invaluable talks on cultural management and curation for my students at the Facultad de Artes Visuales (UANL). Through her digital platforms, she created a rich cross-border dialogue, bringing together creators from Texas with Central American universities and Tec de Monterrey students from various campuses, particularly Campus Monterrey and Campus Guadalajara.
Reflecting on my career as an international artist, I am deeply grateful for how she helped me take that first major leap. She is a career-maker, and working with her is a truly transformative experience."
